Marketing & Contextual Advertising

May 7, 2009

So I found a site called AdMinder which offers to drive website traffic to my website in the form of popunder advertisements. Recently someone asked me if the popunder advertisements at AdMinder were considered contextual advertising. What is contextual advertising? Where do visitors come from? Does contextual advertising equal qualified visitors to my website? Where do companies such as AdMinder get all of these so called qualified visitors? There must be different levels of contextual advertising, yes? What are the different ways a company may offer visitors via contextual advertisements? What companies offer pop-up ads, pop-under ads and/or contextual ads? How much does it cost? What return on investment (ROI) can I expect from visitors or subscribers obtained via contextual advertising? What is the best creative to use with this type of marketing? Should I advertise my website, a product or collect email addresses? Note to self: Check out this contextual advertising network called Media Traffic.
